Welcome!
The CERN Dramatic Arts Club is an all-encompassing umbrella for self-expression, to train stage and public speaking skills.
We are open to all: those associated with CERN and those outside.
Currently we offer:
- LINACtor Improv Workshops: Weekly on Tuesday evening short-form games to train skills such as spontaneity, teamwork, character work and storytelling. Mostly in Room 222/R-001 at 18:30.
- The Sphere Theater: Weekly Wednesday evening to practise theatre skills.
- Long-Form Improvisation: Occasional Thursday evening training to prepare for live improv performances.
Consider joining to help support your science communication, guiding and CERN show activities.
Is there an activity you want to start but is not listed? Why not start your own! We can provide enthusiasm, support and training to do so.
For official session announcements (time and location) join our Mattermost. We also host an unofficial community on WhatsApp for friendly discussions and event announcements in the wider Geneva area. You can also find the updated list of the upcoming events on the events page.
The Association organises those interested in dramatic arts, and enables and facilitates the dissemination of dramatic arts within the CERN community and beyond. The Association recognises the need for practice and support of dramatic arts in personal and professional development, for the purposes of science communication, and for entertainment. – The Constitution of the CERN Dramatic Arts Club
